After our longest hiatus yet, and quite frankly, the only hiatus we’ve ever had (good riddance Winter 18/19!), WeCrushWednesday evening rides have resumed with April’s return, and our 2019 season begins.
Join the crew for a roll thru the blossoms both lining the sky and carpeting the boulevards, as well as the occasional flurry of swirling petals with every light breeze that blows by. Magnolias, cherries, plums, quince, forsythia and more - the signs of fresh new life are everywhere and spring is a fleeting courtier - get out and soak up the delicious beauty and syrupy floral spring scents. We LOVE/LIVE for this shit!
TAKE NOTE re WEATHER: We are still in the throes of April’s showers (bring on those May flowers!!) but the sun is showing up with tentative determination almost daily - and occasionally, like gangbusters! Due to the unpredictable nature of this season’s weather there will of course be days when we’ll be rained out - as indeed we were on our first 2019 date, April 3rd. We will make that call late in the afternoon, to allow for last-minute meteorological shifts that might clear a weather window in time to accommodate an hour or two of gorgeous spring evening glory rolls.
April rides will be hosted & led by one of our many esteemed & dedicated community members. These are folks who have demonstrated a clear commitment to the #AllBae ethos of inclusivity and support and who always offer a warm welcome for all who identify as BAE, as well as a passion to grow and better the cycling community, and cycling in general, and their communities at large - those who embrace the #neverthewrongchoice mantra when it comes to being out on a bike, with buds, and have earned themselves legitimate 💎 BAE STATUS 💎.
If that description resonates with you and you believe you possess these qualities, and you’re interested in joining our roster of ride hosts, pls contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org - we are always happy to have more passionate BAEs join our #BAEsquad to contribute to planning & pulling off all our fun projects! We definitely believe in the #shinetheory and that we are #strongertogether (shoutout to Call Your Girlfriend’s Aminatou and Ann for creating & sharing these oh-so-important concepts - click that hotlink to connect with one of THEE BEST PODCASTS EVER no joke).
